When it has to be spot on?

When on the theatrical and musical stages of the world, the heaviest loads have to be transported silently and positioned with millimetre accuracy, that?s when German engineering and know-how come into play. ChainMaster has developed a range of high-powered electric chain hoists and chain hoist controllers that make it possible to realise the creative ideas of directors, set designers and lighting artists with minute precision and absolute reproducibility.

We laid the foundation for this success in 1993. At that time, we were the first anywhere in the world to develop an electric chain hoist system that was not only capable of satisfying the stringent German safety regulations regarding places of public entertainment but also to pass the tests imposed by the underwriters of the trade association with liability for industrial safety and insurance in Germany, the Berufsgenossenschaft.

Far from making us complacent, this success encouraged us to invest the knowledge and experience we had accumulated in an investigation of the possibilities of using kinetics in the design and construction of chain hoists. Within a very short time, we became established as one of the major manufacturers of chain hoists in the world. Our international distribution network, combined with our continuing attendance at all the main trade shows and fairs, help us to remain in close contact with the users of our products. Our efficient distribution network spreads over every continent and our dealers work with renowned stage construction companies locally as well as with events and entertainment service providers internationally in a close and productive partnership.

This puts us in a position to collaborate in the realisation of projects small and great but invariably of the highest quality. Among our references, we can cite prestige installations in the Cologne Arena, the Pentagon Museum and the Kremlin State Palace as well as a large number of high profile events like the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen, high-grossing musical productions and tours by world-famous artists.

An important role in all the products we have developed for the stage and theatre is played by our versatile and efficient controllers, which are capable of reproducing movements with staggering precision whilst easily satisfying even the most stringent modern safety regulations.
